SANTACO accepts his appointment as a signpost of the very renewed hope trumpeted by the new order, which the transport sector and particularly the taxi industry embraces. As Minister Ndebele enters the portfolio he is not really foreign to, SANTACO wish him well in his endeavours with the confidence of stronger strategic partnership between his ministry and the taxi business in the advancement of effective and efficient transportation service that is sustainable and economically empowerment through conducive regulatory environment. For this, SANTACO equally pays tribute to then Transport Minister, Mr Jeff Radebe for his contribution in the transport sector. SANTACO and the taxi industry in general, will forever appreciate the consultative and participatory principles that he always fostered in the transport sector. That was the basis of the taxi industry partnership relations with government and as he takes his new seat at Justice & Constitutional Development, we remain confident that his presence will breathe the same tone of hope and improvement government seeks to bring to the lives of South Africans.
