SANTACO has dismissed its national chairman Junaid Peters on reasons of unethical conduct that were not representative of national interest and vision of SANTACO. In its meeting that was held in May 29, 2008, SANTACO NEC resolved to endorse this position further noting J Peters’ misrepresentation of the organisation that have during all his interaction with business and other stakeholders been a clear expression of disregard for national functions. The action by SANTACO on J Peters’ characteristic undignified conduct which contrasts the organisation’s compliance to corporate governance has regrettably also witnessed the sacking of Norman Sechele as Treasurer General of SANTACO. While these two vacancies have temporarily left a vaccum in the organisation, a principled decision had to take precedence over organisational interests and those of the general taxi industry.
