The Hlokomela Blitz campaign of SANTACO which aims to improve road safety and customer service in the taxi industry, was deviated by a painful encounter witnessed at the Itsoseng Self Help Organisation for Disabled Children (ISHODC) whose cry for survival drowned the attending audience of Qwa Qwa to tears (See attached pics). It was the 11 year old disbaled child whose phyiscally deformed nature that raised the call.
This emotional encounter propelled SANTACO to commit 67 minutes of Mandela Day to this unnoticed yet painful reality of the disabled children whose survival needs a better environment for accessibility, support systems to manage their deeply impaired life and transportation between their habitat and the ISHODC. Both their habitat and the ISHODC are over-burdened to the ownership and management of an old age mother who's constrained to maintain both. The President of SANTACO and his leadership hereby invites you to join him at the ISHODC when they will be giving the home a cleaning and painting work. In promotion of the Mandela philosophy and beliefs and societal contribution, SANTACO President AJ Mthembu will announce the taxi industry's intentions to adopt ISHODC and its role in the project after its 67 Minutes effort. You can visit the www.santaco.co.za website to see on the pictures.
